Description
SideStore is an iOS signing app that makes it super simple to sideload iOS apps on your device without using a computer.
It is a fork of the popular AltStore app, and improves upon it by allowing users to sign apps directly from their device without requiring AltServer and a PC. It also implements community-requested features of AltStore.
SideStore works by sideloading and installing IPA files on your device using your Apple ID.
Typically, apps last for seven days before they have to be manually resigned by the user, but SideStore bypasses this by using a VPN trick to resign your apps in the background automatically.
When installing SideStore for the first time on your device, a computer is necessary to complete the installation. You can install it using either AltStore or Sideloadly.
This is only required once for the installation of SideStore. After installing it, you won't need to use a computer anymore because it automatically resigns your apps directly from the device.
How to Install SideStore with Cydia Impactor
- Download the SideStore IPA file onto your computer.
- Download Cydia Impactor from here.
- Connect your device to your computer using a USB cable.
- Open Cydia Impactor.
- Drag and drop the IPA file downloaded in Step 1 onto Cydia Impactor
- Cydia Impactor will ask for your Apple ID and password, which is verified with Apple only and is used to sign the IPA file. If you’re not comfortable providing it, then create an alternative Apple ID and use that instead.
- After the app is installed, go to Settings -> General -> Profiles (or “Device Management” / “Profiles & Device Management”). Find the profile with your Apple ID and open it.
- Tap on the Trust button.
- Now open the app and enjoy it.
